What’s On in the Local Area this November
Holderness Boutique Holiday Park, East Yorkshire
November has some great events in our area. The season brings spectacular Autumn colours in the outdoors. Of course, 5th November has fireworks and bonfires to enjoy. We’ve found events in our usual venues as well as some new places to explore. Some events need booking and will sell out so act now to get tickets. . Have fun!
We’ve given a web link in most cases. Please check before you go. As with all exploring, some of our ‘What’s on’ suggestions will be brilliant, some will give you completely new experiences, and others may be a disappointment. I’m putting this list together based on what I think looks interesting.
Hornsea Carnival Fireworks
This year’s bonfire and fireworks display will be on Saturday 2nd November at Hornsea Freeport. Food and traders will be open from 6pm and the bonfire will be lit at approximately 7pm. The fireworks will start at about 7.15pm. Times are approximate and are dependent on the weather. Any changes will be announced on social media.
Admission is free, but there will be a bucket collection to help the Carnival Committee pay for the fireworks display and to hopefully raise money towards next year’s carnival. A £1 donation per person would be gratefully received.

Evron Centre, Filey, The Salts
Recommended on Radio 2 Jonny Walker Show. The Salts are made up of seasoned musicians who play a mesmerising mix of full speed, foot-stomping traditional and original shanties. Doing for shanties what the Pogues did for folk, they create one of the most exciting and energetic folk concepts of recent times. Fronted by twice BBC Young Folk Finalist Lee Collinson, they fire a mighty yet respectful broadside at the traditional, with banjo, mandolin, guitars, double bass and percussion to the fore. The Salts album “She Rises” is available from Amazon and i-Tunes.
