Happy New Year from Holderness Boutique Holiday Park, East Yorkshire

Welcome to What’s on in our area this January.  Traditionally the main attractions ‘Go dark’ in January which gives us a great opportunity to explore some new activities.  We’re constantly looking to introduce you to new venues and different experiences.  Even if an event isn’t to your immediate taste why not give it a try.  There are so many little gems in this location.  Have fun!

I’ve given a web link in most cases.  Please check before you go.  As with all exploring, some of our ‘What’s on’ suggestions will be brilliant, some will give you completely new experiences, and others may be a disappointment. I’m putting this list together based on what I think looks interesting.

Full Moon Sound Temple

10th January  – Come and join an evening of sound healing and lunar relaxation.

Completely immerse yourself in the crystalline frequencies and allow your body, mind and soul to receive a deep sense of freedom and release from the medicine of sound.

Lying back in the candlelit room, you will be guided into a meditation before been bathed in the healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls where you will surrender to the peaceful and relaxing sound waves.

As you slowly draw out of your experience you will be serenaded by beautiful chimes and then guided to ground in the stillness of silence before the session closes.

Sound healing is a great modality to help release tension, anxiety, stress and depression within the body. Working at a cellular level, sound vibration can bring about deep release and transformation.

I hope you will enjoy this magical offering!

Penguin Awareness Weekend

January 18, 2020 – January 20, 2020
P-p-pop on by for some ‘flippin’ fantastic fun as we celebrate all things penguin for Penguin Awareness Weekend. It’s Penguin Awareness Weekend and we have so much going on to keep those happy feet moving.

Venture through the chilly Kingdom of Ice and see the penguins being fed at 11:30am and 3:30pm. Followed by the opportunity to meet the keepers and ask them any questions you may have about our feathery friends.

Find out if you have what it takes to be a penguin keeper in our fun interactive presentation at 1pm (in Endless Ocean) and get hands on with real penguin nests, feathers and see how we make our penguin ID bands. Plus you can hear about how penguins breed, the signs of courtship and caring for penguin chicks.

Take a picture with Pebbles the penguin mascot in Endless Ocean at 11am and 3pm then waddle over to Craft Corner for fun face painting from 11am to 4pm.

Big Garden Watch Family Event

At Bempton Cliffs 25th January
This year we want more people than ever to take part in the UK’s largest wildlife survey, so we’re running a range of activities to help your family prepare for your own birdwatch surveys at home. We’ll be running outdoor activities like birdwatching and playing the Sounds Like game with Russell Crow, our mischievous puppet, and in The Nest Box we’ll be making garden bird crowns, feather fans and a flock of fingers. Entry to the reserve is by donation during winter opening hours.
