What’s On Around Scarborough this February
Spring Willows, North Yorkshire
Welcome to What’s on in our area in March. We’ve been scouring our sources for interesting events and activities to tempt you out of your winter hideaways. The are new places to try events. Familiar venues but more unusual performers. The links mainly take you to the place where you can get best information. Try something new this month. As always we hope you have fun.
I’ve given a web link in most cases. Please check before you go. As with all exploring, some of our ‘What’s on’ suggestions will be brilliant, some will give you completely new experiences, and others may be a disappointment. Some events have a fee or ticket price. I’m putting this list together based on what I think looks interesting.

http://bit.ly/3a9Dey3 29th March
Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess In this frank, funny and informative new show, Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen shares heart-warming tales and honest anecdotes from her remarkable farming, family life in North Yorkshire. It’s a life that has almost gone in today’s modern world, one ruled by animals and the four seasons.
We’ll hear how Amanda grew up in Huddersfield, but was inspired by James Herriot’s books to leave her town life behind and head to the countryside.
After working as a freelance dairy milker and alpaca shearer, she eventually settled down as a shepherdess at Ravenseat, one of the highest and most remote places in England, where she’s raised a flock of 1000 sheep and a family of 9 children with husband Clive.
